For the first time, Troop 1 will embark on 3 simultaneous camping trips this weekend. Flamingo and Goose patrols are headed on a backpacking trip to Little Rocky Pond and Stratton Pond in Vermont. King Fishers, Penguins and Sea Gulls are headed to Camp Split Rock.
Backpackers should be at the firehouse by 6:15am on Saturday to be ready for a 6:30am departure
King Fishers, Penguins and Sea Gulls get to sleep in a bit more. You need to be at the firehouse by 8:15am for a 8:30am departure. They’ll be hiking Mount Watatic and will have time available for advancement. Remember to bring your scout books to sign off advancement.
During patrol time today, make sure your menu is finalized, someone is buying food and that you have a written duty roster. Patrol boxes need to be ready to go. Water jugs should be filled for Split Rock. Any scout needing a tent or stove for this weekend needs to check out their equipment tonight. Patrol Leads, make sure any absent scouts are taken care of for tents.
