Campout – Lafayette

Depart firehouse at 6:30 AM on Saturday
Return to firehouse by noon on Sunday

A scenic hike to Lonesome Lake and/or Cannon Summit plus free time to explore, a big dinner and a roaring campfire. Snow showers are in the forecast so bring layers, warm footwear, hat and gloves, and a good sleeping bag. If you only have a three season bag bring extra blankets. We only have to walk a short distance to the campsite so carrying an
extra duffel along with your backpack is fine.

Eat breakfast before you go. Bring a trail lunch for Saturday. The troop will cook dinner Saturday and a hot breakfast on Sunday. Bring bowl, cup, f/k/s etc. and $10 to cover the cost of food. Scouts should arrive Saturday morning prepared to hike. Most of us will bring a separate day pack with our lunch, water bottle, and hiking essentials so we don’t have to carry a full pack up the mountain.
