Announcements 10/8/26

Our next camping trip is coming up in two weeks on October 24-25. We’re heading to the Troop’s campsite in Cook Conservation in Lancaster. This is a great campout for those of your with sports or other activities as you can arrive late or leave early if needed.

There are a few payments upcoming for scouts. You should talk to your parents about these and bring in a check if needed:

  • Scouts attending Summit High Adventure have their $1,000 October payment due at the Troop meeting next week.
  • All scouts need to pay troop dues of $75 by November 12th. These dues cover upcoming campouts.
  • By default, the Troop will use your popcorn fundraising scout accounts for these payments. Everyone that has sold popcorn this year has already earned enough to cover the $75 Troop dues!

The Troop is looking for Den Chiefs to work with Pack 9 dens. As a Den Chief, you attend den meetings as an assistant leader and representative of the Troop. Den Chiefs are considered part of the Troop leadership and fill a very important role. They not only strengthen the Cub Scout program, but they also increase the future success of our troop.

Den Chiefs should be at 1st class rank or above. However we will consider anyone at Tenderfoot with Scout Master approval. There is an upcoming council-led training for anyone interested in being a Den Chief on October 25th at Treasure Valley. Please see the Scoutmaster if you are interested in the role.

Patrol time today can be used for advancement. Take advantage of this time to plan out any rank you want to achieve at the December Court of Honor and start working towards it.
